Weight loss or adolescents is great when your son or daughter or other little person is interested in losing weight. This is not always the case. America has a tremendous obesity problem and children are not safe from the heat of poor health due to over eating. Don't kid yourself-pardon the pun-but a child's health is very important. Sure they are still young, but that does not mean they shouldn't be healthy. You can have a heart attack at any age. If you are a parent who is not totally conscious of their child's health you need to make a major change if you are invested in your child's welfare, it is a simple fact.

If you are a parent who is also over weight you should probably look more into losing weight as well, children need a strong role model to show them the way.
Never make your child feel inferior or bad about their body and support them all the way like a coach. Let them know you are trying to help and want them to lose weight because you love them and care about their health and future. This may not make them stop crying over wanting a happy meal but with time and perseverance this can achieve a lot. Weight loss for adolescents is an issue to be carefully looked into.
