To convince your body that you are not starving you must boost your calorie intake for a day. One day of overeating resets your hormonal level that triggered the slow down in your metabolism. When you eat the extra calories your metabolism springs into action to burn them and you increase your fat loss and start losing again.
3. Exercising ineffectively. It can be frustrating but not all forms of exercise are created equal when it comes to helping you lose weight. For instance, if you are walking on a regular basis but not losing weight then you will want to boost your exercise by either adding short burst of high intensity throughout your walk (i.e. speed walk for one-minute intervals) or add a couple of days of strength training to your exercise week. These exercises boost your metabolism and help your body burn fat more efficiently all day long, even as you rest.
